What particulars must be supplied by the applicant
to register his patent/utility innovation?
The applicant must provide: -
- his name, address and nationality;
- the name and address of the inventor(s);
- Form 17 (Appointment of Patent Agent) signed
by him;
- the Statement Justifying the Applicant's
Right to a Patent signed by the inventor(s);
- the priority details i.e. the filing
date, application number and the country
of the application from which the priority
is claimed and the symbol of the International
Patent Classification allocated to the
said application;
- the title of the invention; and
- the patent specification consisting
of a description, a claim or a set of
claims and an abstract.
